Bio:  David Blaauw is an expert in low-power circuit techniques for both digital and analog components. Blaauw and his research team developed the world's smallest sensor node to date, measuring 1 mm$^3$ in volume and containing a processor, memory, sensor interface and radio link, power management, timers, and battery. It was recently implanted in a mouse to monitor tumor pressure (an indicator of tumor health), marking the first successful implant of a millimeter-scale sensor node. The sensor node is also able to sustain itself through solar harvesting.
