Abstract
IMU sensors worn on body are used extensively for human activity detection for the applications of healthcare and wellness. If the sensor is worn in a disparate orientation, activity recognition algorithms will likely fail. An orientation transformation technique is proposed that enables the activity recognition algorithm to function properly irrespective of the orientation of the sensor.
